Brian Cano

Owner, Artist & Fabricator

Brian Cano was born in El Paso, Texas and made his way to Arizona after completing welding school. Brian is a military veteran and served for 8 years in the Army Reserves. After moving to Arizona, Brian attended Arizona State University where he received his undergraduate degree in Conservation Biology and later a Masters degree in Secondary Education. Brian has been a welder/fabricator for over 15 years and has a broad range of experience from building custom motorcycles and hot rods, to off road vehicles, to creating high-end furniture and designs.

Brian is the creative force behind Ironwood Metal Works now in its fourth year of operation and is bringing welding and fabrication to the next level in Phoenix. Stay tuned for a new branch of Ironwood Metal Works that will focus on off-road and outdoor adventures.

Maria Parra Cano

 Owner & Administration

Maria Parra Cano was born in Phoenix, Arizona and oversees operations/administration for Ironwood Metal Works. Maria has a broad background in operations having administered federally funded programs in the nonprofit arena to multiple business ventures. Maria received her culinary degree from Scottsdale Culinary Institute - Le Cordon Bleu; her undergraduate degree from Arizona State University in Nonprofit Administration & Sociology and her MBA with an emphasis in Finance from Grand Canyon University.


Maria is a mother of 4, a wife and partner to Brain Cano and is a social mami-preneur running IndigenaSana Sana Foods and being the Executive Director for the Cihuapactli Collective in Phoenix, Arizona.
